Shumaila Bari

Ms Shumaila Bari is a teacher of English language and literature. Besides English, she is fond of Punjabi and Urdu literature. She has written numerous poems and short stories in the past few years. Most of her writings challenge the socio-cultural norms imposed on women by a religiously patriarchal society. She is a keen observer of changing socio-political scenarios, emerging feminist movement in South Asia and the power dynamics in a day to day Pakistani society.
